This car door resides deep in a section of woods near our home. Years ago, finding these wrecks in the forest was disturbing, but at this point, the remaining carcasses are so sunk into their resting places that removal would result in ruining a lot of good habitat. So, I make a point of unleashing a lens on them, and the pictures date back to the film years. As we creep further into the climate conundrum, they add a line to the epitaph.

Some future archaeologist will perhaps wonder what kind of idiots were behind not taking care of all the metals before they returned to the earth, so that they had to be dug up again.
