2. I assume you are referring to the grey heron, a common year-round bird in my area, constantly on the lookout for movement in the water. A magical atmosphere frames the heron in its rightful element.

   1. Thanks, yes foggy rivers have the atmosphere. This watchman is a great blue heron (Ardea herodias), common here year-round. And I’m guessing their habitat is similar to your grey heron…
