Thanks again Philip. Best wishes for your holiday weekend 🌞
Hi John and thanks! Beautiful photos and wishing you a great 4th…😊⭐️🎶⭐️😊
Thanks
Love the contrast with the black background and fascinated with the copper-colored object. Great shot!
Thanks (and nice to hear from you)! 😊
The copper-colored object is a curled leaf. A few posts back (“Cupping”), there was another, similarly curled up
But this particular copper leaf, in contrast to the bright pink flower, doesn’t look organic, it reminds me of a metallic vase-like object. I saw the Cupping photo before but I love this one even more. I feel like you’re now capturing your new environment in such a better way…if that makes sense.
There is unusual lighting here and it certainly does look vase-like and metallic. Thanks– interesting comments ✍️
The composition makes me think, “This, this, this.” The flower – of course. The insect-eaten lily leafg, the column of that curled leaf. And that shadow. It all evokes a feeling of lighthearted fun, even with the dark background.
…happy you mentioned the shadow; to me, the most essential element
I think it leads the eyes away from the flower and around the frame. A pleasant trip. 😉
