I’ve been shooting at the pond here every morning lately. (We’ve been getting some bears visiting this spot as well.) Thanks for all your comments, Philip
The headline misled me at first. I often see people trying to capture the effect of a soft, directional light using a flashlight. But the results usually look artificial and unnatural—unlike capturing the light of early morning or light filtering down through the tree canopy.
“lightpocket” …I was looking to describe the way the sun entered this corner of the pond, shining over the grass…touching water. It was also interesting to see the insects and frogs react to the bath of light
Another great picture captured .
Thanks Phyllis, taken this morning just as the sun reached the pond

…flashlight not necessary 😊
