My fisherman’s eye wants to believe that I see a nice fish in the foreground in the first picture, but it’s probably a hallucination influenced by the fact that there are only 10 days left until my annual trout week in Norway.
With a fisherman’s eye, you get the benefit of the doubt. Where in Norway is your trout trip?
This year it will be a week north of Sognefjord, east of the coastal town of Förde. We have been in that area for the last 25 years and hope to continue for another 25 years, even if it means someone has to drag me on wheels to a lake.

An old friend and I were talking about art yesterday and she mentioned a phrase she came up with years ago: “aesthetic arrest.” For me, the last photo in particular has that quality. Made me stop and wonder. 🙂
