Much like my previous post (three views of a cloud), this group of river pictures were shot in sequence without resorting to a burst. Unlike most of my other recent river photos, I decided to use ISO 1250 to freeze the moving water which resulted in the pebbly blue-gray pictures you see here. With the pale rose accents on the upper left of the frames, the river resembles slabs of granite.

“Freezing” the lively movement of the water truly offers a completely different perspective on water as an element. Its malleability becomes apparent, while the inertia of surface tension also stands out more clearly. Multiple shots, as seen here, complement the pattern of movement. Nice, or what!
