1. Nice that you did the orchid justice with the frog perspective. Interesting that it thrives in a dense coniferous forest, I never would have thought that.

   1. I counted twenty of these on the four mile rainy walk last month. As you noted, they prefer lots of shade (the conifers are pine and hemlock). Shooting them from the ground like this felt like a good way to tell their stories

6. Since I have some familiarity with this plant and lots of experience photographing flower, this group really makes me smile. I feel a kind of stubborn, “I’m not going to do the same old thing!” sentiment here. Or, “How far can I go and still render the flower as it is?” Probably I’m projecting too much. 😉
