  1. There is a saying that “water wears away stone”. Although it appears soft and supple, it is constantly working to smooth out and reshape its surroundings. The decisive factor is time, the one we do not see. A frozen moment like this makes me see the result in a time gap.

    1. Interesting thought. For me, this picture has an anthropomorphic element. It recalls Barrier Canyon pictographs which I’ve visited in the Utah desert. What’s interesting about that connection is that the pictographs were painted on steep sandstone canyon walls several thousand years ago; places which water had already sculpted before the painters ever arrived
