The future is always exciting to peek into. Since I discovered Ray Bradbury and his short stories, I was hooked on the sci-fi world. It didn’t get any better after Kubrick’s 2001 premiered, a masterpiece still in my eyes. Asimov’s Foundation trilogy is still the one I can read over and over again. Sigh!
I was in 9th grade when I first saw 2001. Alone, in a local theater, the evening was a game changer for me. I read the book, and everything else I could find about Kubrick and the making of the film. Many years later, I agree: it’s still a masterpiece (although Tarkovsky’s two sci-fi films are right up there for me: Solaris and The Stalker).
I just read this article last week about Kubrick and 2001:
The Stalker is one of the few films that I purchased on videotape, but it has a completely different visual language compared to 2001, whose music is at least as important as the images.

Last night’s escape. Have a good evening! 😊🌒

“completely different visual language” — a good way to put it
Thoughtful combination of these two windows. I like the tilted form of the four-sided figure showing reality. And the warm brown in the room … aaaah.
I’m happy that you noted the four-sided figure and the warm brown color; the passing moments of life, which almost all photographs can claim
