The picture is of a nearby unnamed pond which, except for a few days, has remained covered with snow since December 3rd. The snowshoe tracks are mine, and I liked the way they brought some texture to the monochrome.

The tracks tell a story, too, of someone venturing to the pond and back for a purpose one can only imagine. I like the horseshoe-shaped melt.
That horseshoe melt has been interesting to watch in all its changes. Currently nothing but white
