Wonderful, John. The myriad of tiny white marks are like a night sky superimposed on the ice – and a few white marks are twinkling.
I photographed flowers at Pike Place Market in Seattle behind translucent tarps a long time ago. They did away with the tarps but for a little while, it was so beautiful – similar to this. Live things – plants mostly I guess – behind translucent barriers is something I’ve always been fascinated by.
Extreme Still Life.. great pale colors. ✋
Good way of putting it. Thanks! ✍

The tiny white marks made it for me; thanks for noticing. I sorta recall those flowers behind translucent tarps…
Part of me wants to remove all of the little white marks, obsessively. Then I reconsider and realize that they add another layer to the image. 🙂
I’m happy you reconsidered 😊
