The first thought circles around the word melancholy, but it doesn’t become correct when trying to find a translation from Swedish “vemod”. Anyway, the formation is brilliant.
You’ve made me long for the proper context; that is an intriguing word. Any picture described as melancholy is off to a good start with me. Thanks for this nice comment, Hans
Wow! Beautiful set, John.
Many thanks Harrie ⭐

As always, grazie molto; I do appreciate your presence here ⭐
the milkweed seedburst is heavenly – and love the muted colours with orange bursts – like a negative film style. A sensational square set John
Many thanks Laura; really nice comment
I like your Milkweed As Portrayed by Rembrandt, also the fire in the rocks.
Thanks Linda, I like that title but I’m not sure he would’ve 😊
It’s been so long I don’t know where to begin, so I rather randomly chose this beautiful grouping. It reads like an elegy. It’s smart to choose 3 images of leaves that have similarities and bookend them with the milkweed and the wider shot, both stunning on their own. The milkweed has all the hallmarks of an Old Master painting, as if one was seeing a painting in a quiet gallery of an important museum. If I could make up a color that unites all five, it would be blue umber. 🙂

Put me down for “blue umber”
