  1. What a wonderful spring feeling it gives, with the sun breaking in, the water rippling. I can almost hear some small birds trying to sing their way up for the upcoming leaf-burst.

    1. The streams aren’t iced up like a month ago, and you’re right, there’s a sense of change in the air. It was just above freezing here two days ago; chilly, but the moist snow made snowshoeing a bit of a slog

  2. Beautiful photo, John. Untouched snow is the best, rounding down to the dark holes of the creek. Last week, when I went to bed, there had fallen around 5cm snow, which is quite a lot for the nowadays Netherlands. So I planned to go out early and do some shooting. When I woke up next morning it had all disappeared, totally.. 🙂

    1. Thanks Harrie. Based on the number of classic Dutch paintings of winter, it seems there was once a time when you could count on finding snow in the morning. Unfortunately, we’re in a new ball game with respect to climate

  3. A calm scene is appreciated in the midst of all the crazy news…and it’s still cold where you are, isn’t it? But as you & Hans said, change is in the air.

I missed your February landscape series, sorry. It’s been difficult lately. I do what I can and that has to suffice until things change. And that’s happening. 🙂
