This image has been reminding me of something I saw in one of those Ansel Adams darkroom instruction books that were popular in the 60’s and 70’s. I can’t recall a specific picture, but I remember being captivated by his snow scenes, especially what I think of as the “near-whites” (bright snow in overcast conditions). The photography shelf at our local library was gold to me back then…a good memory.
