The intermittent stream next to our home that was on vacation last summer has come back to life. After the snowfall two days ago, I liked the way it looked in monochrome, especially with a pale blue tint. The stormy-light helped, I think, by reducing everything to simple shapes and contrast. This picture reminds me a bit of some of Franz Kline’s paintings.

Well treated!
After a while I see two ‘heads’ from aside; the dominant shouter is coming in from the left.. (sometimes it’s hard to get back to the shot is it is, with these associative interpretations..)
Usually, I see associative interpretations and then, as you said, I can’t get untied from them. I don’t see the “two heads” in this instance (and I’m not sure I want to)… 😄
I won’t point it out then.. 🙃✋
Really lovely – almost animal-like textures, polar bear maybe?! Really like the tones and lines, very gaze-able, as always.
It was the right temperature for a polar bear. I like your use of the word “gaze-able” 🌟
I feel like that about so many of your photographs, so many images online and I often have a distracted brain, but whenever I come to your site I always get taken in, always feels like there’s so much to see in one image. Thanks for that moment of peace!
Thanks for such kind words; it can be a bit bewildering sorting through images online. There’s only a few folks left from my first years on here. Your work and creative spirit has stood the test of time
That’s kind, thanks – I’m still working away but not had the impetus to post for a while, I really loved this space, the support and inspiration .. hopefully will get back into it at some point! But, meanwhile, still love your posts! 😊
