You saw those little guys so differently! The image has the resonance of antiques, there’s something ancient about it. I like looking at the swirl of fish, the stray ones, the pools of light – it’s really a pleasure to relax into.

I think that by keeping to an emotional response rather than a clinical one, you allow the viewer to read a lot more into the image. No hyper-focus, a restrained palette, etc.
