Thanks, I thought it resembled oil paint as well. The rocks are underwater but I also used an in-camera ND filter which softened the moving water; hence the look of brush strokes

It looks like a sandy-bottomed creek where the water is picking up the sand as it flows – and the sun plays along with it all. It’s painterly but really, more like a pastel drawing. Beautifully contemplative.
I can see pastels.
