  1. The image is like a two dimensional painting with extreme layers of darks and lights. With every gradation of grays in between. A fantastic shot. I can imagine Velasquez’s figure from Las Meninas in the background.

    1. Thanks for such a nice comment. These lines and the gradient of grays in this picture all fell in my lap on a bike ride. Sometimes it’s amazing the way that works.

  2. When we were in Northern Europe we traveled by train a lot and the only houses we saw that weren’t absolutely perfect were down by the tracks – seen by us as the train left the station.
