The eternal cycle, spreading color and joy, as well as recirculation of the elements of life.
I appreciate the hopeful comment. Due to the intensity of wildfire smoke and flooding this past summer, the foliage has been subdued. In addition, there’s the die-off of great numbers of White Ash caused by the Emerald Ash Borer and leaf disease affecting the American Beech. The deciduous forest here in the Northeast is struggling.
Sad to hear but I guess the aspen still is golden yellow.
Yes, and cottonwood and some of the birches
So many struggles, world-wide. We had a smoke-free summer and fall, which has been a gift, but it wasn’t the case in other places and the effects continue. Looking at the Mideast and our own governmental incompetence, one has to make a real effort to get past it all. We have to be like that one yellow leaf.
