Edges of places are intriguing subjects, with fields and woods being at the top of that list.
I like the idea of a cloistered field and that’s exactly what this is. I have a vague memory of another woodland photo of yours with a similarly intimate look.
Re what you said to Laura, I always remember a saying from a novel I read decades ago – “It’s all happening at the edges!”
Hmm I wonder which woodland photo that was. And I’d also like to know which novel that was!
I’ve thought about that novel before and tried to figure out what it was but I don’t remember anything else except that it took place around LA and I read it back in the 90s. Not much to go on!
But thinking about how active edges are in so many different arenas is interesting.
