…the third in a series from recent trips to see if we can jump-start some autumn weather. This one: a chilly sunrise from four years ago in Adirondack Park, looking south toward the Siamese Ponds Wilderness.
Thanks. I think you’d really appreciate this park. No place quite like it on this continent.

🌟 Many thanks Philip!
These beauties of autumnal photos cause me looking forward to the upcoming season, almost impatiently, John.
Thanks Ule, I share your impatience 😊
I love your monochromes, John, as well as these wonderful colours pictures.
Thanks Peter, I appreciate all those visits!
made me catch my breath – like firelight
thanks so much Laura

Thank you!
An other Beauty! Great silent atmosphere.

So, a month later, are you seeing hopeful signs of autumn? I’m sure you would be if you went far enough north. This is an image to sink into. 🙂
I’ve been up north for a week and it’s peaking now, albeit with subdued color with respect to Sugar Maples (rainy summer). The palette is inspiring though; lots of work to sort through. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
Good, I look forward to seeing what you saw. 😉 Those trees don’t have to be brilliantly colored to be beautiful.
Agree
Oh so nice. The fog is wonderful, and how you’ve found something interesting for a foreground makes the photo that much better. Maybe it’s the upward-pointing grasses that make me keep looking up in the photo. It all works together beautifully.
A classic painting look, really nice.
