This is a fantastic shot, John. Part naturalistic, part abstract. But all the elements work well. Nice work.
Many thanks Ken
Oh how gorgeous. It’s managing to be several things at once, both peaceful and a little eerie; abstract and actual; light and dark..
Thanks Cath, an intriguing comment and I much appreciate the thought.
The breeze as partner for a remarkable photographer works well. Marvellous photo, John!
Thanks Ule, happy to hear.😊
A feather-light feeling over the image, calm despite the movements.
Thanks Hans
The moving nature of nature.
You’re quick to the draw. Love it.
my kind of photo – I love just looking and looking at this
That’s interesting, because it’s a look that conveys the feeling I get from many of your poems. Thanks for commenting.
I could not be more pleased than with these words – many thanks John
This is wonderful, John. I am intrigued by the relatively distinct fine lines entwined through the otherwise blur and bokeh of the image. Nice!
Thanks Mic, I like that as well. It’s an optical effect; not an artifact of post-processing. To achieve it, I use my 75mm M. Zuiko wide open (f1.8), so those twigs are more or less parallel to the film plane, but just shy of sharp focus. To give you context, that lens is a 150mm equivalent in 35mm.
Nice! This makes me smile. I enjoyed reading the comments, too, and am a little surprised no one else mentioned a watery feeling, like reflections in a lake.
Fun to read your reply to Mic, too.
Thanks. There’s a sister inage to this one which I don’t think you got to yet. As always, I appreciate the depth in your comments.
