Falls Village CT
This is from a group of tombstone details I shot two weeks ago in northwest Connecticut and neighboring Massachusetts. There’s bits of text (such as half of the word “husband” in this instance), but what interests me are the lichens: thriving and nearly immortal.

cemetaries are one of my fav pic locations 😉
Agree
Lichen is very photogenic at times
Yes, in raking light in particular
About Life and Death.. great idea!
I photographed many of these tombstones two weeks ago, and more back in June. I need to put together a full suite so it makes more of a statement. Thanks Harrie! ✍
I missed this one – very nice!
Thank you. Your generosity with comments is really extraordinary. And I think I speak for a great many of us on here when I say that.
Thank you, John, I appreciate it. Commenting adds value to the experience for me. In some cases, the back-and-forth results in friendships – even better. But in any case, it seems like the right thing to do.
Great…. grave image!
thanks Geoff
