Arouses many thoughts about what seems to strive upwards in the middle of nowhere, hard against soft, sharp lines against the complex structure of nature, excitement simply.
Thanks Hans– an especially insightful comment.
A beautiful, timeless picture of first light. You can feel the humidity rising off the warm summer earth and hear the cicadas awakening. As timeles as the old railroad trestle at the center of the picture. Nicely done.
Many thanks Brother P. You inadvertently responded to Hans— but no worries…
Excellent 👍
Much appreciated Priti
🥰
A wonderful image The industrial juxtaposed to nature. Good show!
Thanks Ed. It was a striking scene which, at least to my eyes, really came to life in monochrome.
The trestle looks perfectly at home in the forest. I can’t figure out what it is about the composition and light that make the manmade and natural look so well integrated. Each has equal emphasis, that’s part of it. So nice, John.
(I remember passing through Rosendale once or twice and taking photos there. The little town was very appealing, not least because of the Tibetan store there – and google says it’s still there! Nice.).
Thanks Lynn, happy you found the picture engaging. Yes, I believe that store is still there.😊
