Brilliantly surreal.. Kind of cropping it in my eye here and seeing the left boat by itself too – a Dali-esque face melting into sky!
Thanks – I thought about that too because it would definitely convey something more abstract. Overall, I liked the more anthropomorphic look of paired boats eyeing the photographer as it were–and the balance provided by the two poles and the black fence at the bottom.
Yes you’re totally right..so interesting! The balance makes the abstraction more infused than imposed..love it.
