Bellissima….immagine molto delicata 🙂
buon commento .. grazie 🙂
Really good, John.
I appreciate that – thanks Ashley.
The angle! It was already a nice scene, with the branch, the architecture, the colors, but then you skewed it and perfected it.
Thanks Lynn. The Whaler’s Church (which is trapezoidal) is considered one of the more noteworthy Egyptian Revival structures in the nation. Because of it’s shape, It’s hard to photograph from straight on because it looks like there’s a perspective issue to those who don’t know the building. In this picture I tried to let the building do it’s thing. Here’s a link to the church (which lost its steeple in the 38 hurricane): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Old_Whaler's_Church_(Sag_Harbor)
It has a fascinating history, doesn’t it? I like that it’s used by Jews and Christians both.
Yes.. and quite commendably, the building also serves as headquarters for a local GLBT community organization.
Cool!
Fascinating – I like your solution. That reminds me of an odd-shaped barn in the countryside outside of Olympia, WA that I saw on a two lane highway. It had an angled side that did interesting things when you shifted your perspective. On to the link – thanks.
