Sometimes, our most inspiring photographs come from nature! Beautiful shot!

It must be a soft walk to trad on this forest floor right now. We have been hiking trails on weekends here. Fall offers such a wonderful palette.
We’re just at peak foliage now… and the ticks are all gone!
Ahh, don’t get me started on the ticks. Beau was so sick from a tick bite last June. I thought he was going to die.
I imagine their odor when the sun will heated them
Yes…good comment, Val.
I’ve always liked this sort of thing. You know we have no long needle pines around here – I think you have to go to the other side of the mountains. But blueberries, or close relatives, yes. Do you know the filter in Photoshop called “cutout”? I’m always tempted to use that on this kind of photo because it so easily reads as abstract shapes. But this one has a really nice softness that you would lose with that filter.
I know the P-shop filter but haven’t played with it much. Was pretty much just playing around with brown variations and textures here.
