Ah, and there are those pesky crane/flamingos back there…it’s all so clear!
Yes, and there was also a pelican.
yes, *with flamingos* :)!
Yup. The unofficial title: Roadside Rooster With Flamingos”.
Is the rooster part of the welcoming committee at the Sand Castle Cafe? Are those white flamiingos in the right background? They part of it too?
Interesting offerings, this cafe, huh? Never seen that combination before.
I hadn’t seen that combination either. There was also a pelican (photographed, but as yet unpublished).
Haha!
😉
The big rooster makes sense in these environs..The flamingos must have asked for directions in Key West and, like Bogart in Casablanca, been “misinformed.” The photo leaves a lot of unanswered questions about the Sand Castle Cafe that gives free reign to the imagination to answer.
Great comment from Todaro the elder.
Brilliant – no subtlety there eh?!
We don’t tend to do subtlety so well over here… 😉
thanks Cath
John, I don’t know what it is about these images. My first thought was “Poor guy’s chained up!” — and then I had to smack myself in the head.
Also: showers & laundry at a cafe? I’m there!
priceless comment. 😉
If you find yourself heading north from Alamosa CO, you’re on the right trail.
