    1. It is full of great subject. I especially like poking around in the nooks and crannies of Pamlico Sound.

11. Definitely dreamy. Such a different take on a bald cypress from one I recently posted:

    Balding cypress

    But these are great trees, so it’s not surprising that they lend themselves to such different interpretations (like the blind men and the elephant).

       You’re right–these spindly branches work well in an image like this but hardly convey the immensity and cragginess of old growth Baldcypress. I’ve seen unforgettable trees in North Carolina and elsewhere–I’m sure you have too. If I could grant a wish for eastern North America it would be to bring back the Singer Track, and all the other wilderness where these amazing trees once grew.
