This is an image from southern Maine – a group of floating docks receding into space, and thoroughly engulfed in fog. In this sort of light, a photograph can be rendered with an extraordinary minimalism, reading much like thickly brushed ink on paper.

Wow, I had no idea these were docks in water (of course if I had read the actual title, it would’ve helped.) It looked like parts left over from the Industrial Revolution… I loved the fact that I had to keep re-examining it to see all the details and reflections. Very cool how it fades into the fog! I adore Maine, it must be a photographer’s heaven. Very excellent work.
